Levels
There are four levels for French courses and
three for English courses.
They can be followed in succession. However, each level
is independent and can be taken separately, as each deals
with specific objectives.
Level I: pre-intermediate
Grammatical principles; basic vocabulary; sentence
and paragraph writing.
Level II: intermediate
Grammatical principles; business correspondence; speed
and precision.
Level III: advanced intermediate
Advanced grammatical principles; drafting of reports
and statements; writing techniques.
Level IV: advanced
Refining; polishing; solving grammatical, lexical
and stylistic problems.
Objectives
The objectives of the written language course are:
- to correct grammatical errors;
- to learn how to produce written work that takes the
recipient into account;
- to perform the principal tasks of written communication:
letters, accounts, reports, memos, faxes, etc.;
- to acquire as much independence as possible in work-related
writing.
Intended Clientele
For administrators, secretaries, civil servants, and
those in the job market who wish to improve their writing
skills in another language. This language course focuses entirely
on the workplace.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course, with the
obvious exception of a degree of comprehension of the
written target language. Students will be tested to determine
the appropriate starting level.
